Kader, Sherwin “Shevie” J.
August 27, 2007, age 72 years, of Shorewood. Beloved husband of Priscilla “Pete” Kucik. Dear father of Dana (Alan) Robb, Rona (Gary) Wolfe, Judy (Bruce) Brenner, and Jacob (Sarah) Kader. Further survived by numerous adorable grandchildren: Jeffrey Burke; Anna Rose, David, Noah and Sadie Wolfe; Chaya and Zahara Brenner; Sruly, Leah, Adina and Priva Kader; other relatives and friends. Shevie was probably one of the world’s longest living heart transplant recipients. Growing up on Milwaukee’s west side, he attended Washington High School. In addition to being an outspoken advocate for the State of Israel, Shevie served in the Israeli Border Guard. Around the same time, he worked at several kibbutzim. In Milwaukee, Shevie worked at A.O. Smith for nearly 20 years. In the 1970’s he was a founding member of Concerned Jewish Citizens in Milwaukee. Other affiliations included Clan MacLeod, founding member of the Robert Burns Club, 32nd Degree Mason, and Society for Creative Anachronism, a medieval recreation group. Some of his hobbies included teaching fencing, winemaking, and building model ships. He loved to tell a good story with a moral and knew thousands of jokes.

North Ave. Memorial contributions to Adina Kader Scholarship Fund at Wisconsin Institute for Torah Study or American Friends of Magen David Adom-ARMDI, 888 Seventh Avenue, Suite 403, New York, NY 10106 would be appreciated.
