Barbara Heilbronner

Heilbronner, Barbara April 16, 2023, age 92, of Mequon. Loving wife of the late Frank Heilbronner. Caring mother of William (Kathy) Heilbronner, Jill (Peter) Olive, Robert (Diane) Heilbronner, and Jody Heilbronner. Proud grandmother "Baga" of Rachel (Ryan) Adkins, Lisa (Gregory) Adelberg, and Sam (Bridget) Heilbronner; Eddie (Kim), Molly, and Jeffrey (Liz) Olive; Sarah, Michael, and Jason Heilbronner, and 8 wonderful great-grandchildren. Beloved sister of the late June and sister-in-law of the late Robert Becker and Margery and the late Irvin Becker. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Barbara's family was her most important priority. She laid a foundation based on "Family First" and the family traditions are embedded in the lives of her children and their families. Each time a grandchild was born, Baga came to help and love the new addition to the family. We had many wonderful vacations and celebrations, always filled with laughter, original songs, and poems. She was active in the community and honored for her 25 years of service on the Mount Sinai Hospital Auxiliary Board. She was a founding member of the American Cancer Society Reach to Recovery program, providing care and support to new mastectomy patients, and served on the boards of Childrens Outing Association and Jewish Family Services. In most recent years, Barbara served as an ambassador for Newcastle Estates, her bright smile welcoming new members into the community. She made a lot of new friends while living there and enjoyed mah-jong, book club, chat class, outings, and dining with friends. Special thanks to the staff at Newcastle Place and Horizon Hospice for their wonderful care and attention during the last few months. Her family will be forever grateful for her enduring love, generosity, support, positive energy, courage, and strength. We love you more, Mom. Memorial service 11 AM Friday, April 21, 2023 at Congregation Emanu-El B'Ne Jeshurun, 2020 W. Brown Deer Rd., River Hills. Interment private. Donations can be made to Children's Outing Association or Barbara Heilbronner Family Fund for the Jewish Community Pantry.
